Doing anything this Wed Night?

There is a private, (50-100 people probably) $50 casual dinner at the Candy Store (Burlingame) on Wed, July 27th in conjunction with the San Jose GP next weekend. Mr Della Penna is a former CART Team Owner, CART Board Member and hired both Richie Hearn (3rd Indy 1996) and Jimmy Vassar. (He was also in Rodney's VIP Suite at the recent MotoGP.)

His talk will focus on the current state of Open Wheel Racing in the US and Champ Cars in specific. There will be a question & answer session as well. There are two F1 (Ferrari and Williams) cars that live at the at the CS among the old cars but perhaps a few CART Cars might show up as well...

While I know this is a non-bike topic, it is a very interesting, private event and might be of interest to some MSMC Members. If there's any interest, I'll need to know by Tuesday Morning so the food can be arranged. Check payable to "Candy Store".

PS The Malcom Smith Dinner ("On Any Sunday" Malcom Smith) is scheduled for this fall and I'll post the date when it's confirmed. :thumbup
