friend of mine centerpunched a turning car at about 70 mph with an R1150GS. haven't seen it but he says the car driver's insurance company described it as severe front end damage (hey, he has 10 broken bones), but the remainder of the bike, like the engine, etc., may be okay.
I will eventually help him pick it up and get a look at it. anyone here have any interest in a parts/project bike, probably available for a few hundred?
