Colin,
if not now, some time soon, OB1

you too will know the way of the 4 valve,

the cool thing is that there are so many 748's is that WHEN you ride one, the force will be strong in you, and there will be one for you.

Joseph, sounds like you still LOVE the bike, so why the sale? Reduction in Force?

Joseph,

I have 900SS-SP, so while I haven't experienced a 4v desmo motor, I've certainly been drawn a bit towards the dark side...

yes, I have fond memories, and the bike is BALANCED!

I am trying a new hobby, I think I am getting a boat

and Colin, you will succumb to the dark side, and LOVE it

I am trying a new hobby, I think I am getting a boatA boat...wow. So not really downsizing, more like upsizing/trading outward/refocusing. You'll have to tell us all about your new hobby!

After moving to CA from NJ, I noticed Alex had various motorcycle magazines laying around the house. He usually picked them up at the airport to read on the plane, even though we didn't own any motorcycles at the time. That has certainly changed! Now that we are well entrenched with the motorcycles, I've noticed boating magazines laying around the house. Again, magazines that Alex picked up at the airport to read on the plane. Hmmm...

Joseph,

Boats eh? Interested in crewing on some races? some low key beer can stuff during weeknights.

Owning a boat is like standing in a cold shower with your best clothes while tearing up $50 bills.

i entertained learning how to sail, even got some literature from the OCSC in Berkeley.....but the time and financial investment was too much this year, i'd definitely need to scale back the motorcycle days.....still, though i'm not interested in owning a boat, taking advantage of sailing opportunities in the Bay area and beyond is appealing.....so maybe vicki and i will take sailing lessons next year....

(sorry 'bout the threadjack...though i didn't initiate it...)

Sailing? No motor? What's the point? :D

well the boat thing....as in Wellcraft Scarab 42', the only crew required is Ben Franklin, and a couple of Grants, and that's just for fuel, being a Marine Engineer I am acutely familiat with the cost of all things marine...I choose my hell,
thank you for the generous offer Don

delivery in 2 weeks or so
