Hi,

There is a documentary coming up on The History Channel which combines motorcycles and history.

In the show, hosts Stan Ellsworth and Curtis Nysmith follow the Custer Trail on motorcycles, riding from central North Dakota to the Little Big Horn in Montana.

Curtis has a degree in aerospace engineering, was VP af an aerospace firm, served as a NY city prosecutor and is an avid history buff. Rides a Ducati Multistrada in the pilot.

Stan is an ex-marine, former NFL linebacker (Seattle & Detroit), former history teacher - has a master's degree. Very smart. Very big. Rides a Harley Duece in the pilot.

Great show. Fast. Fun. Different.

The following airdates are now confirmed (with more pending):

Tuesday, May 24th @ 11pm ET / 10pm CT / 9:00pm MT / 11pm PT
Wednesday, May 25th @ 3am ET / 2am CT / 1am MT / 3am ET
Sunday, May 29th @ 12pm ET / 11am CT / 10am MT / 12pm PT

Please check local listings as times can vary (particularly on DirectTV).

Please watch - if you get a chance - and please tell us what you think! Please email others as you see fit.

Hi Tim -

Are all three of those airtimes the same pilot episode? If so, when is the next episode expected to air? (In setting it up on Tivo, the guide made it look as if it was a one-time show, and wouldn't let me set it up as a season pass).

Hi,

These are all for the pilot episode. This is a test.

This series is very different to what THC are used to. When it was focus tested there were a few people who were disappointed that it's not Ken Burns. We had 60% eights and nines, but 30% 1's. People loved it or hated it which in this day and age isn't a bad thing. Hence these airdates. Hence my emails. I think this show is a good one. I like the guys I am working with on it. I am the producer for it.

I'd rather see a balanced audience than one that's just dead-set avid THC watchers, because they found the tour stuff distracting. We're trying for balance and I don't want this show to become dull.

Please spread the word.

If the series is approved - and I think it will be - it'll run for real during sweeps next February or March.

We're rushing because we filmed the pilot in Montana in late October and that was no fun at all. Snow. So I want us on the road soon if it's going to happen... there are lots of stories but lots of those get cold in September and each show takes a week on the road and a fw weeks of prep to shoot. I can feel that cold wind already.

One other thing you could do - IF you like the show - is to voite for it on IMDB.com (search for History Hogs) and to email THC with any feedback.

THanks,

Tim
